Lingchen Yang
I am a Research Scientist at Meta, where I work on generative modeling, physical simulation, and scalable learning for dynamic 3D/4D humans. My research lies at the intersection of computer graphics, computer vision, and machine learning, with a focus on building structured, controllable, and physically grounded models for digital humans, motion, and interaction. More broadly, I am interested in multimodal foundation models, embodied intelligence, and robotics.
Previously, I completed my Ph.D. at the CGL Lab, ETH Zurich, where I was supervised by Prof. Markus Gross, Prof. Barbara Solenthaler, Dr. Derek Bradley, and closely collaborated with Disney Research Studios on physics-based facial simulation. During this time, I also had the opportunity to work alongside Prof. Eftychios Sifakis.
